Who we are & Why that’s concerning?!?

Welcome to The Goblin Gossip Gazette—the loudest, boldest, and most delightfully unreliably reliable newspaper in all the realms.

We cover everything that matters: who’s backstabbing who in the royal court, which wizard exploded this week, and whether that “dragon” sighting was just Steve from accounting again.

Our team of highly underpaid goblins and barely-qualified adventurers work around the clock (and occasionally against their will) to bring you breaking news, questionable rumors, and spicy gossip.

If it’s scandalous, ridiculous, or mildly illegal—you’ll read it here first.

MATTY TABITSY

FOUNDER & EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

The Mind Behind the Mischief

Founder, CEO, and Chief Sneak, our goblin leader built this paper from the ground up (mostly by digging). What started as a few scribbled rumors on stolen parchment has grown into the realm’s most trusted-ish source of news.

Grizlow Zonk

Director of Operations

Keeps the presses running and the chaos profitable. Equal parts taskmaster and scavenger, Grizlow can stretch a single ink barrel across three editions, wrangle a newsroom brawl into a headline, and still file the distribution routes before sunrise. If a story gets printed, smuggled, or “liberated,” it’s because he made it happen.

Valthora Zeryth

Field Journalist

Once swung a sword for coin, now she swings stories for headlines. A former adventurer with more scars than she’ll explain, Valthora brings a veteran’s eye to every assignment, spotting danger (and lies) before they fully surface. She treats investigations like quests, sources like party members, and deadlines like dragons. Meant to be slain, preferably with style.

Vexie Zazza

Lead Journalist

Gazette’s sharpest nose for scandal and the fastest quill in the gutters. From whispering warrens to noble courts, Vexie digs up secrets most folks would rather bury and prints them before breakfast. Ink-stained, sleep-deprived, and utterly fearless, Vexie has a talent for turning rumors into headlines and enemies into tomorrow’s front page.

Ozzan Despana

Field Journalist

Walks the line between ink and intrigue, spending half his time chasing stories, the other half chasing bounties in the shadowed depths. A drow with a talent for slipping in and out of places unnoticed, Ozzan gathers information the hard way: blades drawn, secrets stolen, and enemies left confused in the dark. He files his reports when he can, vanishes when he must, and somehow always returns with a story worth printing.

Blix Muckrat

Print Master

This soot-streaked genius is behind every legible page the Gazette manages to produce. With ink-blackened fingers and a permanent scowl, Blix coaxes life out of clattering presses, mismatched type, and questionable paper stock. He can fix a jam with a kick, align a page by instinct, and somehow make even the worst handwriting look intentional.

Gunnar Copperbraid

Field Journalist

Splits his time between chasing headlines and chasing glory, never quite settling on which pays better. A stubborn dwarf with a knack for surviving things he absolutely shouldn’t, Gunnar treats every assignment like a proper expedition. Well-planned, loudly executed, and usually involving at least one explosion. Whether he’s delving into ancient ruins or local tavern scandals, he brings back hard facts, harder bruises, and a story worth every dent in his armor.

Kiki Bazzle

Field Journalist

Gazette’s boots-on-the-mud reporter, always first on the scene and last to leave, usually because something’s chasing her. Armed with a battered notebook and zero regard for personal safety, Kiki dives headfirst into bar brawls, dungeon mishaps, and suspicious “accidents” to get the story. If it’s dangerous, loud, or likely to explode, Kiki’s already there… taking notes.

Tiv Clatterknot

Creative Writer

Young and ambitious Tiv is our newest member and we see great promise for his future. For now, he is learning the ropes and completes our Gazette with classifieds and happier, and fun stories. Rest assured, his hunger for adventure and harder hitting stories burns deep inside. When he is unleashed into the world, he will be one of the greats in journalism. High praise, high hopes, high expectations.

Nestled in a lush, rolling valley, the Goblin Gossip Gazette is a charmingly rustic industrial complex that serves as both a paper mill and a bustling newspaper office

The structure is a whimsical patchwork of weathered wood and sturdy stonework, featuring a prominent, waterwheel that churns the crystal-clear river to power the internal pulp mashers. Surrounded by vibrant forests and connected to the mainland by a quaint stone bridge, the mill captures a perfect balance of old-world fantasy and industrious spirit. As you come up to the building, your nose is bombarded by a pungent smell, while news is an incredibly important industry, the process of creating it is not very pleasant
